It further received the “Best Fight” MTV Movie Award.

3.      Superbad .

Greg Mottola directed the American adolescent comedy Superbad, which features Jonah Hill and Michael Cera.Since Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg really co-wrote the screenplay, it should come as no surprise that the movie made our list of the 20 funniest films ever.In order to impress a few females they have their sights on, two adolescent boys who are invited to a home party strive to secure enough booze for the entire gathering.However, things don’t exactly go as planned, and there are certainly a lot of setbacks along the road!

The next movie is Elf, one of our favourites!The movie, which was released in 2003, recounts the journey of a big-hearted, slightly awkward, but sympathetic elf who is trying to find his biological father.Along the road, he makes a few mistakes, but finally he succeeds.Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Ed Asner, and Zooey Deschanel are among its cast members.You gotta watch it!

5.      Shaun of the Dead,

Shaun of the Dead could be the right movie for you if you don’t mind a little blood and zombie gore.The comedy-horror film, which was released in 2004, centres on Shaun (Simon Pegg) and Ed (Nick Best) as they speed across London while fending from a zombie apocalypse.The movie was a critical and financial hit and was BAFTA nominated!

6.      The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski, a stoner comedy movie about an unemployed Los Angeles slacker, was released in 1998.Jeffery “The Dude” gets mistaken for another Jeffery who is set to become wealthy in a case of mistaken identity.When the millionaire’s wife is abducted, Jerry “The Dude” is dispatched to save her. However, as you might have guessed, things don’t quite go as expected.Joel and Ethan Coen are the authors, producers, and directors of the movie.


Office Space, a 1999 film written and directed by Mike Judge, is about a few people who are dissatisfied with their positions in a typical 1990s software business.Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston, Gary Cole, and Ajay Naidu are just a few of the outstanding performers who appear in the movie.Although it didn’t perform well at the box office, don’t let that stop you from seeing it since it still makes you laugh!

8.      The 40-Year-Old Virgin

With Steve Carell, Catherine Keener, and Paul Rudd as the main characters, this 2005 American sex comedy earned favourable reviews and made over 7 million dollars worldwide.It follows Steve Carell’s character Andy Stitzer as he manages inventory at a nearby electronics shop.He’s a 40-year-old virgin, as the title says, so his buddies want to end that once and for all, which opens the door for some fantastic comic sciences!Definitely worth the time!

In this humorous mockumentary from 2006, Sacha Baron Cohen portrays Borat.This movie is unquestionably for you if you want to laugh out loud for two hours straight!The movie follows “Borat,” a fictional Kazakh journalist played by Sacha Baron Cohen, as he travels the country filming everyday American citizens in real-life scenarios.

This is why I believe many individuals experience it at some time in their life and why the movie is so amusing and realistic.Bill Murray portrays Phill Connors, a TV weatherman tasked with covering the yearly Groundhog Day.Unfortunately for Phill, he ends up in a strange time loop where he keeps repeating the same day.When the movie debuted in 1993, it fared ok financially and eventually won praise from critics.

15.  Caddyshack

This 1980 American sports comedy is the first of our top five.Brian Doyle Murray directed Caddyshack, which he also co-wrote with Harrold Ramis and Douglass Kenny.The story follows a young Caddy who is struggling financially as he works as a caddy at a posh country club to pay for college.Lots of laughter to be had and definitely worth watching!

16.  Blazing Saddles,

Western comedy Blazing Saddles, which debuted in 1974, received three Academy Award nominations after its release.It concerns the appointment of the first-ever black sheriff to a little frontier settlement named “Rock Ridge.”The villagers aren’t very fond of him, but they quickly come around when they realise that he and his inebriated companion are the only ones standing between the town and a bunch of criminals intent on destroying it.A humorous classic that’s definitely worth seeing!

17.   The Legend of Ron Burgundy : Anchorman

Simply funny I won’t say much more.If you like Will Ferrel, you should definitely watch this if you haven’t already.The movie is essentially about Ron Burgundy’s (Will Ferrel) troubles with his new female counterpart and is set in the 1970s.If you haven’t already, watch it, and you’ll be rolling about in laughter in no time.

18.   Aircplan

The comic satire Airplane effectively demeans every catastrophe film from the 1970s.The drunken pilot of a jet is compelled to take charge when passengers and crew members contract food illness, but he also engages in personal conflict with his ex-girlfriend, who just so happens to be a stewardess on the aircraft. To safely bring the plane down, they both must cooperate, which is hilarious!When it was first released, the movie made over $83 million in North America, which was a great financial success.
